Certain roles require Blue Cards and Police Checks and the abovementioned Archdiocese of Brisbane Website will guide you through the process.

Depending on the amount of time you can give, there are many ways to serve your community. Some examples include:
- Adult Education - Adult Education in the Faith is the on-going religious learning which we choose to enter into following the instruction we received from our parents and the formal religious teaching we received at school. The purpose is to bring us closer to God. If we know Him better we will certainly love Him more.
- Altar Servers - Boys and girls, men and women who provide specific assistance to the Priest during Mass and all other Liturgical Celebrations. NEED VOLUNTEERS
- Altar Society - Preparation of the Church for liturgical celebration which includes decorating altar with flowers and preparing altar linen.
- Children’s Church - Held during 9am Mass in the John Paul II room, children are led to an understanding of the Gospel and Liturgy of the day at their level. CURRENTLY ON HOLD NEED VOLUNTEERS
- Counters - Count money from weekly Mass collections on Sunday morning every 11 weeks.
- Cleaning - Volunteers are needed for our church Cleaners Ministries on 3rd, 4th and 5th weeks of the month. Also every Saturday Morning to vacuum our church. NEED VOLUNTEERS
- Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist - Enables members of the Parish community to participate more fully in the celebration of Mass by becoming an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist.
- Family Groups - The Family Group motto is “A Family for all”. Belonging to a family group means sharing and supporting one another lovingly. A great way to make new friends.
- Liturgy Group - Assists with planning and implementing all aspects of the Sacred Liturgy.
- Music Ministry - Enhances the Gospel theme for the Mass through music and encourages all ages, young and old, to deepen their relationship with God and each other through music.
- Parish Leadership Team - Provides pastoral assistance to the Parish Priest and enables active involvement by Parish members.
- Property and Finance Committee – (By appointment) Provides guidance for the development and maintenance of buildings and facilities within the Parish.
- Readers - Enables members of the Parish community to take part more fully in the celebration of Mass by participating in the Liturgy of the Word.
- R C I A Program - Guides adults on their faith journey to membership of the Catholic Church.
- Sacramental Program - Prepares children/candidates for the reception of the Sacraments. Reconciliation, Eucharist and Confirmation.
- St. Vincent de Paul Society - Members can achieve the goal of practicing Christianity by helping those in need on a personal basis, thereby loving their neighbor’s in the persons of the poor.
- ON HOLD DUE TO COVID 19 HOPE RESTART IN 2022 St Dympna’s FUN Group - This group creates an atmosphere of community for the youngest members of the Parish. It allows parents time to play with their children and to meet other parents. NEED VOLUNTEERS
- ON HOLD DUE TO COVID 19 HOPE RESTART IN 2022 Womens Social and Friendship Group - The aim is to promote the spiritual, cultural, social and intellectual well-being of women and children to uphold the sanctity of the traditional family unit. Each branch welcomes the opportunity to support its Parish Priest. Membership is open to all Catholic women and non-Catholic wives of Catholic men. NEED VOLUNTEERS
