Sacrament of Penance 2023 Program

Preparation for the Sacrament of Penance

If your child has received Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist, we are inviting you to participate in the preparation and celebration of the Sacrament of Penance.  In the year when the children turn ten (Year Five) they are prepared to celebrate more fully the Sacrament of Penance with individual confession and absolution.

(Sacramental Policy: You can view the Sacramental Policy below for Christian Initiation For Children here or attached below: Sacramental Policy)

This year, the program will run over a period of four weeks and concludes with the Sacrament on Saturday 18th March (3.30 - 4.30pm).

It is not necessary to supply a Baptismal Certificate if your child has been baptised at Our Lady and St Dympna's Parish and has already been part of Confirmation and First Holy Communion.
