The Sacrament of Marriage

Picture
Congratulations on your engagement, it is a big step in your life together as a couple.

The completion of a Pre-Marriage Inquiry Form will begin the process for your wedding and there are some details that Aspley Parish requires to book both the church and priest. This form is completed in a meeting with the Priest who will celebrate your wedding.

It is also a requirement of marriage that couples complete a pre-marriage course with one of the many agencies here in Brisbane; Centacare, Anglicare or relationships Australia provide possibly the best courses currently. There are many courses designed to suit you personally and the work/recreation lifestyle that you enjoy.

If you have been married before regardless of religious affiliation or civil ceremony it is a requirement that you make contact with the Marriage Tribunal of the Catholic Church to receive the necessary permission to marry details. Any questions please make sure you have a discussion with the Priest you have asked to celebrate your marriage.

Our Parish would love to celebrate the sacrament of Marriage with you and your Family. Please contact the Parish Office on 3862 9402 to arrange a meeting with Father John, to discuss this very important sacrament.
