Baptism
The baptism of an infant is the beginning of a child’s faith life and journey with the Christian community. It is therefore an important decision for parents to make on behalf of their child. For a child to be baptised a Catholic is it essential that one parent is a Catholic and that both parents agree to nurture the faith life of the child as much as possible. It is also essential that Godparents are baptised Christians, one being a Catholic.
Baptismal Preparation/Rehearsal is on the 3rd Sunday of the month at 10.00 a.m. followed by
Baptism of infants is celebrated every second and fourth Sunday morning after 9.00 a.m. mass.
Parents are required to contact the Parish Office on 3862 9402 or email aspley@bne.catholic.net.au to arrange a baptism and submit the following Baptism form with accompanying document copies (e.g. Birth Certificate for child and Baptism Certificates for parent/s and godparents) :
